22nd Annual Sarasota Highland Games and Celtic Festival
Sarasota Highland Games at the Fairgrounds. We were very pleased to provide tent shelter again this year for the festival. It takes a lot of organization for this one day event in Sarasota. It may only be a single day event, nevertheless the time it takes to get everything ready in time is quite intense, for the organizers, the participants and Lakewood Tent Rental.
Once we receive an initial indication of the numbers and types of tents required we must then start to prepare them, as well as the tables and chairs. Check the status of all of the tents and sidewall and wash any tents if required. As we have other tents up during this period, we need to ensure that we will set aside from our inventory sufficient aluminum pipes of the correct lengths for each tent type, as well as all of the fittings, stakes, weights and so on. About 48 hours prior to the installation date we will receive the definitive list. Then the loading begins.
This year we needed 3 full truck loads to transport everything for the Sarasota Highland Games.
Once on site, we must physically go through the layout, just to make sure that all the plans match what is on the ground, then the installation can begin. We have about a day and a half to install. Fortunately, as installations go, this one is relatively straight forward as we have easy access to each tent location.
